Turin After Dark: Aperitivo, Live Music and a Weekend Beyond the Museums

Discover Turin after dark with a practical weekend route through aperitivo bars, live music and lively neighborhoods, plus checked prices and transport home.

Turin after dark begins with small decisions: a table overlooking a square, a drink you have never tried, or a concert in a room small enough to see the musicians’ faces. Leave room for those moments and the city becomes much more than a weekend of royal palaces and museum tickets.

For a first visit, build one evening around Piazza Vittorio Veneto and Via Po, then use the second for San Salvario or a jazz performance. Keep the route manageable, choose your music before booking dinner, and work out how you will return to your accommodation.

This guide combines a practical weekend itinerary with published venue prices and official transport information checked on October 15, 2026. Concert examples are dated; other spending allowances are clearly identified as estimates.

Where to Go in Turin at Night

Turin has several evening districts with different personalities. The official tourism board highlights San Salvario for bars and restaurants, the historic center for elegant cafés, and Vanchiglia and Aurora for alternative venues and cultural spaces.

For a short weekend, choose an area according to what you want from the evening:

Area Best reason to go How to use it
Piazza Vittorio Veneto and Via Po Aperitivo, an evening walk and a central live-music venue The simplest first-night route
San Salvario Dinner, cocktails and a sociable neighborhood evening A relaxed second night without a packed schedule
Piazza Valdo Fusi Jazz Club Torino Build your evening around a specific performance
Vanchiglia Exploring another side of the city’s bar scene An alternative when you have more time

You do not need to cover every district. Two well-chosen stops usually make a better evening than four rushed ones.

Friday: Aperitivo on Piazza Vittorio Veneto

6:30 p.m.: Start at La Drogheria

La Drogheria is at Piazza Vittorio Veneto 18/D, a convenient starting point for an evening that continues along Via Po. Its cocktail focus makes it a useful choice if you want something more considered than ordering the first spritz you see.

The published September 2026 evening menu lists a €16 aperitivo formula, including a drink of your choice and finger food. It also lists a €1.50 cover charge per person; ask whether that applies to your chosen service.

If you prefer to order separately, the online drinks menu lists signature cocktails at €12 and its featured nonalcoholic cocktails at €10. These are published menu prices, rather than an estimate for the neighborhood.

Turin is also a good place to become curious about vermouth. Before ordering, read our guide to Italian vermouth, Vermouth di Torino and how to drink it. You can then ask the bartender for a recommendation based on whether you enjoy bitter, herbal or sweeter flavors.

Allow about an hour. Aperitivo works best when you have time to talk, taste and watch the square.

7:45 p.m.: Decide Whether You Need Dinner

Do not assume that an aperitivo formula will replace dinner. Finger food can be enough for a light appetite, but it may leave you hungry halfway through a concert.

La Drogheria’s food page lists evening kitchen service until 10:30 p.m. Its Friday and Saturday bar hours extend later, so a late closing time should not be read as a promise of late food.

Either eat here or leave time for a simple meal before the music. For planning, set aside €20–30 per person for a separate casual dinner, depending on drinks and what you order. This is an editorial allowance, not a quoted restaurant menu.

If the concert starts at 10 p.m., aim to finish eating by around 9 p.m. That leaves a comfortable margin for walking, finding the entrance and collecting tickets.

Friday Night: Live Music on Via Po

Around 9:30 p.m.: Head to Blah Blah

Blah Blah is at Via Po 21, within walking distance of Piazza Vittorio Veneto. Allow approximately 10–15 minutes at an unhurried pace, depending on where you start.

Its program is worth checking before your trip. The venue hosts live music across styles including punk, electronic music and heavier guitar bands; it is a choice for people who want to hear a particular act rather than simply have background music.

The official October 2026 listings provide useful examples of admission costs:

Performance Date Published admission
Dada Pogrom, electronic live performance October 16, 2026 €7
Stormo with Subliminal October 17, 2026 €10 advance / €13 at the door
Anna Ox October 27, 2026 €7

These are individual event prices, not a permanent entrance tariff. Check the live calendar for your dates, start time and booking instructions.

Listen to a track by the scheduled artist before booking. A few minutes of preparation can tell you whether the evening suits your taste.

After the Show: Leave Time for the Journey Home

If you are staying nearby, an evening walk may be the simplest finish. Otherwise, check your return route before entering the venue.

Piazza Vittorio Veneto is an important departure point for Turin’s Night Buster buses. However, that does not mean the next bus serves your hotel or leaves as soon as the concert ends. Save the correct stop, route and departure time on your phone.

Saturday: San Salvario or a Jazz Evening

Option One: Make Dinner the Main Event in San Salvario

For your second evening, explore San Salvario, particularly the streets around Via Baretti and Largo Saluzzo.

Keep this night flexible: reserve dinner, walk around the neighborhood and choose one further stop if you feel like staying out. This is a useful counterpoint to a Friday evening organized around a concert.

Before sitting down, check whether the venue is offering drinks with small snacks, a priced aperitivo formula or a full dinner menu. The word aperitivo alone does not tell you how much food is included.

If your accommodation is nearby, you can enjoy the evening without planning a cross-city return. If you prefer an early night, dinner alone is enough: there is no requirement to turn every evening into a bar crawl.

Option Two: Book Around Jazz Club Torino

For a music-focused alternative, check Jazz Club Torino, in Piazza Valdo Fusi. The venue combines concerts with a restaurant and lounge bar, making it a candidate for an evening spent largely in one place. Its website lists Friday and Saturday opening hours of 6 p.m.–2 a.m.

Check the actual program before reserving. Opening hours do not guarantee a live performance at a particular time.

A single admission price could not be verified for all evenings, so ask the venue:

  • Is there a concert ticket or music supplement?
  • Does a dinner reservation include seating for the performance?
  • Is there a minimum food or drink spend?
  • What time does the live set begin?

Choose this option when the scheduled music interests you. It can also simplify the evening by combining dinner and entertainment without another transfer.

Getting Home: Metro, Night Buses and Tickets

The Metro Does Not Run All Night

The official timetable checked for this guide lists the last metro departures from both terminals at 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

That is a terminal departure time, not the last boarding time at every station. Check your station and direction, and allow time to reach the platform.

The published timetable has earlier metro closures on other days, with replacement buses during specified periods. Always check GTT’s service notices for temporary changes.

Night Buster Runs on Selected Nights

GTT lists Night Buster services on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before public holidays.

Its published overview gives departures from Piazza Vittorio Veneto between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., and from outer terminals between midnight and 4 a.m. Consult the individual route timetable for your journey; do not assume a frequent turn-up-and-go service.

Normal valid tickets are accepted for the route traveled.

What Local Transport Costs

GTT ticket Digital price Paper ticket price
City ticket, 100 minutes including one metro journey €1.90 €2.00
Daily ticket €3.70 €4.50
48-hour Tour ticket €7.80 €9.50

The Daily ticket follows the operating day; it is not a rolling 24-hour pass. For travel deep into the night, check that your ticket is still valid. The 48-hour Tour ticket runs from first validation and may be simpler for a weekend with several journeys. Validate tickets as required when changing vehicles.

If public transport does not suit your destination or departure time, ask the venue to help arrange a licensed taxi. Request an estimate for the actual journey rather than relying on a generic city-center fare.

A Realistic Evening Budget

For the Friday route, this is a useful working budget:

Item Allowance per person Basis
La Drogheria aperitivo formula €16 Published menu
Cover charge allowance €1.50 Published menu; confirm application
Blah Blah admission €7–13 Dated October examples
Two separate digital City tickets €3.80 Published GTT fare
Subtotal €28.30–34.30 Before dinner and additional drinks
Optional separate dinner €20–30 Planning estimate
With separate dinner €48.30–64.30 Before additional drinks or taxis

For simplicity, allow about €50–65 per person for aperitivo, a casual dinner, one modestly priced gig and local transport. Spending less is possible if you walk and need only a light meal. A more expensive performance, extra drinks or a taxi will increase the total.

Accommodation and travel to Turin are separate.

Where to Stay for an Evening-Focused Weekend

Choose your accommodation around the journey you want to make at midnight.

For this itinerary, consider the historic center around Via Po and Piazza Vittorio Veneto, or accommodation convenient for Porta Nuova and San Salvario. Check the exact address rather than relying on a broad “city center” label.

Use our guide to hotels in Turin to start your shortlist, then compare accommodation through Expedia. Search Turin for your dates and use the map to judge the return walk from your chosen venue.

Read recent reviews for street noise, especially if the room faces a busy evening street. A courtyard-facing room can be worth asking about.

For travel to the city, check Trip.com for available train connections and transport options. Confirm whether your chosen train arrives at Torino Porta Nuova or Torino Porta Susa, and compare the full fare and change conditions before booking. Trip.com offers Italian rail booking, including Turin routes; availability depends on the journey and date.

Turin rewards a weekend with a little breathing room. Book the performance that interests you, enjoy aperitivo without rushing, and leave enough time to get home comfortably.
